Surrounded by a patchwork of fields, nestled in the woods on the edge of the village Oudkerk, is an original Frisian estate, dating from 1655.

Completely restored in 1986, this impressive 4-star hotel is a lovely symbiosis of history, culture and contemporary luxury, based on inner well-being. Besides the luxurious guest rooms, restaurant and beauty parlour, our rural estate has its own stables with Frisian horses and a private boat, ‘De Wetterfreule’.

Located in the heart of picturesque Friesland, not far from the charismatic city of Leeuwarden and near the Waddenzee, this is the perfect starting base from which to discover this unique province and neighbouring islands.

The Estate is situated in an 8 acre historical park and hosts 22 comfortable rooms. All rooms are equipped with modern facilities and have a luxurious marble bathroom with bath/shower and toilet, a seating area with two luxurious armchairs and large windows.

In the basement of the estate, guests will find the Institut de Beauté Guerlain, as well as the indoor swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool and Turkish steam bath. The warm, luxurious and tastefully decorated Institute offers a diversity of relaxing beauty treatments.

• You must check out by 12:00 hours.

Cancellations

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
